I want to be an effective leader, Lord,
Balancing as I teach,
Trying to keep my students on the same page,
While still allowing the looseness that will keep the lessons fun.
I want to enjoy time in class,
Helping others to learn about and from you
While trying to model your love for your people.
And at the end of the day,
I’d really like,
Not to feel as if I’ve been run over by a truck.
