In the blink of an eye,
Our entire lives may change.
With very little warning at all,
Our very lives may end.
We are not promised tomorrow,
Or even another minute.
But you, O God, never change.
You are the same throughout all time,
And are not even bound by what we know of as time itself.
We fade away,
You are eternal.
May we live our lives in you,
That we may share eternity with you.
Amen.
