In the course of time, O Lord,
You have always shown yourself to be faithful,
Even when we humans have been utterly unfaithful to you.
Thank you, Lord, for your continued care for us,
And please forgive the ways in which we have sinned against you.
Instill in us a desire to know more of you
And to love you better
That our desires and actions would be motivated by caring for you
Instead of our own greed.
Amen.
