When the storms of life burst onto the scene
And bring floods of rain that threatens to overtake me,
Lord, let my trust be in you.
When I have taken my last step,
And feel that I cannot move another inch.
When I am so overcome by fatigue that
I fear I will take my last breath,
Lord, let my trust be in you.
When I am overwhelmed with joy,
Joy that fills and erupts from deep within my soul,
When I feel that I may burst with the happiness inside,
Lord, let my trust be in you.
Whatever my place,
Whatever my circumstance,
Only you, O Lord, will I trust.
