Lord, today is a new day.
Let me put my sins behind me.
Let me leave my jealousy and hatred in the past.
Let me leave my intolerance and look ahead to acceptance.
Let me bury my former self,
The one who lacked the character that you require,
And let me wake unto my new self,
Who is more and more like the person you desire me to be.
And, tomorrow, let me do it again.
