Lord and God of all things, times, and places,
What could we see if we had your eyes,
Even if just for a moment?
What could we feel if we had your heart?
What could we hear with your ears,
Or touch with your hands?
Could we begin to see, feel, hear, or touch
The way you do?
Could we even bear it for a moment?
Or would we become so overwhelmed we couldn’t do anything?
Lord, we put our trust in you that with all you see, feel, hear, touch
That you are in command and control of the universe still
And that, although you give us our own will,
You have compassion for us when we make mistakes,
Or when others’ mistakes hurt us.
Thank you, O God.
