Some days, O Lord, you seem closer than others.
Some days, you seem so far away.
When we are hurting,
When we are afraid,
When we are sick,
Sometimes those are the times we feel farthest from you.
Please bless us with the knowledge of your intimate presence
When we are in greatest need,
For that is when we need you most.
Come, be with us, live in us.
