Ruler of all, I want to thank you.
Thank you for who I am.
Not only that you have given me life.
Not only that you have blessed me beyond all reason.
But especially because you have made me your child.
I thank you for the gift of being your child,
And I wonder at your grace.
How many times have I failed to be what you have called me to be?
How many times have I disappointed you or myself?
How many times have I turned from your ways in my life?
They are innumerable,
Yet, your faithfulness to me is never ceasing.
You continue to regard me as your child even in times when I reject you as my parent.
So,
Thank you,
God of all,
And source of everything.
