Sabbath…
Can it really be a commandment?
I mean, we say we revere those commandments,
Yet we consistently break one…
The Sabbath.
Remind me, O Lord, that most of the commandments
Teach me how to keep from hurting others,
And I find them to be very important…
But the one that is supposed to teach me how to take time to heal,
How not to hurt myself,
I consistently ignore.
Help me, O Lord.
I need Sabbath.
Amen.
